• Citoyenneté et Immigration Canada (CIC) collecte des données sur les immigrants quand ils sont reçus au Canada, et pour les résidents temporaires, CIC collecte des données quand ils entrent au Canada.
• Statistique Canada collecte des données sur les recensements et enquêtes remplis par les individus.
• Ces dernières années, un certain nombre de bases de données ont été créées qui associent des données provenant de plus d’une source. Une base de données, la Base de données lon- gitudinales sur les immigrants (BDIM), associe les informations données par les immigrants quand ils sont reçus avec leurs données fiscales chaque année après leur admission au pays.

• Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) collects data on immigrants when they land in Canada and, for temporary residents, CIC collects data when the individual enters Canada.
• Statistics Canada collects data on censuses and surveys that are reported by individuals.
• In recent years, a number of datasets have been assembled by linking data from more than one source. One database, the Longitudinal Immigrant Database (IMDB) matches the information reported by immigrants when they land with their annual taxfiler data in each year after their admission to Canada.
