MDP Training Programme for Migration and Integration Professionals

Ottawa

Following a successful pilot training held in June 2014, Metropolis Professional Development (MPD) will offer its next training programme in Ottawa, Canada December 8-13, 2014.

MPD offers a high calibre of internationally recognized instructors and has been developed in close collaboration with an Experts Advisory Committee (some of whom also instruct for MPD), including Graeme Hugo (University of Adelaide), Jan Niessen (Migration Policy Group), Imelda Nicolas (Commission of Filipinos Overseas) and Peter Schatzer (IOM) among many others.

This programme was established in response to a growing need and global demand for training that provides professionals with a broad understanding of global migration phenomena, a deeper insight into how current data can be applied in practical contexts, and how policy and practice can be better informed to enhance migration and integration management. MPD delivers opportunities for international senior decision makers in government, civil society, and the private sector to engage in open-dialogue across these sectors. It allows participants to contextualize how global trends affect the local and vice versa, providing avenues for participants to collaborate and develop effective tools that are appropriate to their own jurisdictions.

Registration is now open!

Early bird deadline for the December session is October 10, 2014
